Korean Air 777-300ER Business Class

3 versions · 5.9 to 9.2 out of 10 · 4 tracked routes

We have measured 3 physically different business-class cabins that Korean Air flies on the 777-300ER. They score 5.9/10 to 9.2/10 — a 3.3-point gap on the same aircraft type, with the same airline, often on the same route.

Booking sites show one “Business” fare for all of them. Below is what each version actually is, how much of the flying it accounts for in the flight data we track, and which routes tend to get which.

The Versions, Ranked3 versions

Shares are the observed mix across the routes we track, from Flightradar24 flight history resolved to individual registrations. They describe our tracked network, not Korean Air's whole 777-300ER fleet — and a version we haven't measured would not appear here at all.

How to Tell Which One You're Getting

Prestige Suites 2.09.2/10

Forward-facing staggered business suite in a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access for every passenger and a fully flat bed of roughly 79 inches. Each suite has a closing privacy door and tall (~52 in) partitions for a genuinely enclosed space, plus a large 24-inch UHD screen and wireless charging. Same seat family as Korean Air's 787-10 Prestige Suite. Center pairs can convert into a couple-friendly double.

  • Closing suite door plus tall partitions
  • 2024-retrofit Prestige Suites 2.0 product
  • Oversized 24-inch UHD screen and wireless charging
  • 40-seat business cabin, rows 7-17
  • Same seat as Korean Air 787-10 Prestige Suite

Prestige Class (Prestige Suites)8.5/10

Korean Air's legacy 777-300ER Prestige Class is the Collins Aerospace (formerly B/E) Apex Suite — marketed as Prestige Suites — in a staggered 2-2-2 layout with 42 seats. Window seats sit offset behind the adjacent aisle seat, creating a private corridor that gives every seat direct aisle access. Seats are 21 inches (53 cm) wide with a 75-inch (190 cm) pitch and convert to a fully flat bed of 73 inches (185 cm). There is no suite door; centre pairs share an adjustable privacy divider, while window seats gain strong natural enclosure from the stagger. Same seat hardware as the 787-9 Prestige cabin.

  • Staggered 2-2-2 where window seats sit aft of the aisle seat with their own corridor
  • Collins Aerospace (B/E) Apex Suite — same seat as Korean Air's 787-9 Prestige cabin
  • No suite door — high shells and dividers instead
  • 42-seat Prestige cabin behind an 8-seat First cabin

Prestige Class (Prestige Sleeper)5.9/10

Korean Air's oldest 777-300ER business cabin, the Prestige Sleeper, is a fully flat 180-degree bed seat in a 2-3-2 layout with 56 seats. Seats are 20.1 inches (51 cm) wide with a 74-inch (188 cm) pitch and convert to a flat bed of 73 inches (185 cm). The layout is not staggered, so window and middle seats must step past a neighbour to reach the aisle, and there are no privacy doors or shells — just low dividers between seats. Each seat has a 15.4-inch LCD monitor with a touchscreen remote and one-touch recline controls.

  • Straight 2-3-2 rows with a middle seat — no stagger, no corridor
  • Open cabin with low dividers; no shells or doors
  • Smaller 15.4-inch screens and USB-A power
  • 56-seat Prestige cabin behind an 8-seat First cabin
