Premia 42
Air Premia's premium cabin — the airline's highest class, as it carries no business or first class. Premia 42 takes its name from its seat pitch: 42 inches, in a 56-seat cabin laid out 2-3-2 across eight rows. Seats are 19 inches (48 cm) wide with roughly 8 inches (20 cm) of recline, plus an extendable legrest and footrest, giving a deep cradle position that reviewers rate alongside the premium economy of full-service carriers. Entertainment is a flip-up screen stowed in the armrest rather than a fixed seatback monitor, with a content library weighted toward Korean film and television subtitled in English. Power is provided by USB ports and full-size AC outlets in the centre console. Because the cabin is seven-abreast, the middle seat of the centre block and the inboard seats of each pair do not have direct aisle access. There are no privacy dividers, shells or doors.

Strategic Seating
- Front row of the cabin for extra legroom and no one reclining ahead of you
- Window pairs (A/B and the opposite pair) — only two seats to share, unlike the three-wide centre block
- Middle seat of the centre block — flanked on both sides with no aisle access
- Inboard seat of each window pair — requires stepping past your neighbour
- Rear rows of the cabin sit closest to the economy cabin and galley traffic
How to book this cabin
Airlines may change equipment at any time. To ensure you get the 787-9 (789), always check the seat map during and after booking.
Look for these hints:
- Look for "787-9" or "789"
- Seven-abreast 2-3-2 premium cabin at the very front of the aircraft — there is no business cabin ahead of it
- Screen folds up out of the armrest rather than sitting in the seatback
- 56-seat cabin over rows 1-8; the smaller 35-seat Air Premia premium cabin is the 46-inch-pitch variant
- Recliner seat with legrest — no lie-flat, no shell, no divider
