Cathay Pacific Aria Suite · Boeing 777-300ERConfig 77W

Cathay Pacific's new Aria Suite — the airline's first business-class product with a sliding privacy door. Built on the Collins Aerospace Elements platform in a 1-2-1 reverse-herringbone layout with 45 seats per cabin on the 777-300ER (vs. 40 on the legacy 77W). The seat is fully lie-flat at 78 inches (198 cm), 21 inches wide at the armrests (expanding to ~25 inches at shoulder level), with a high cocoon-style head shell, sliding door, 24-inch 4K touch screen, wireless charging, and Bluetooth audio streaming. Launched in late 2024, first deployed on tails B-KPO and B-KPF; Cathay is progressively retrofitting the 35-strong 77W fleet at Xiamen (~7 weeks per airframe) with completion targeted by end of 2027. Until the retrofit completes, only specific tail numbers fly the Aria Suite — the rest still operate the legacy Cirrus product.

Strategic Seating

Best Rows
  • Solo travellers: any window seat — the door + angled-away orientation maximises privacy
  • Couples: any centre pair — angled toward each other with a lowerable divider
  • Front row of either cabin section — less foot traffic past the door
Rows to Avoid
  • Last row of either cabin section — closest to galley/lavatory traffic
  • Bulkhead rows can have less under-seat storage despite the door

How to book this cabin

Airlines may change equipment at any time. To ensure you get the 777-300ER (77W), always check the seat map during and after booking.

Look for these hints:

  • Look for "777-300ER" or "77W"
  • Sliding privacy door at each suite — the giveaway versus the legacy Cirrus
  • Sculpted cocoon-style head shell with built-in mood lighting
  • Light grey + warm wood finishes (vs. the darker legacy J palette)
  • 24-inch 4K screen — noticeably larger than the legacy 18-inch unit
  • 1-2-1 reverse-herringbone with 45 seats per cabin
