Qatar Airways A350-900 Business Class cabin
Qatar Airways Business Class · Airbus A350-900Config 359

Qatar Airways' original A350-900 business class features a modified B/E Aerospace Super Diamond reverse-herringbone seat in a 1-2-1 layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access. The cabin spans nine rows across two sections (rows 1–6 forward of the wing, rows 7–9 aft), for 36 seats total. Each seat converts to a fully flat bed of approximately 198 cm. The open-shell design provides a generous cocoon effect without a sliding privacy door — a distinction from Qatar's later Q Suite retrofit found on a minority of A350-900 frames. Seat width measures approximately 56 cm. Amenities include the Oryx One IFE system, a substantial Bric's amenity kit, and Qatar's signature dine-on-demand catering. This product represents the original A350-900 delivery specification Qatar operated from 2015 and continues to fly on the majority of its A350-900 fleet.

Strategic Seating

Best Rows
  • Row 1 (A/K): forward-most window seats — maximum separation from galley, quiet, no neighbor in center pair on same side
  • Rows 1–6: forward mini-cabin — quieter, less crew traffic than aft section
  • Row 7 (A/K): first row of aft cabin — extra legroom at cabin divider, good for taller passengers
Rows to Avoid
  • Rows 8–9: closest to aft galley — more crew noise and traffic
  • Center seats (D/G) in any row: no direct window, less natural light, slightly less privacy than window seats despite aisle access

How to book this cabin

Airlines may change equipment at any time. To ensure you get the A350-900 (359), always check the seat map during and after booking.

Look for these hints:

  • Look for "A350-900" or "359"
  • Reverse-herringbone angled seats — window seats face away from windows, center pairs face each other diagonally
  • No sliding privacy door (open shell only — distinguishes this from Q Suite frames)
  • Herringbone shell creates a natural cocoon on each side
  • Alternating forward/backward-facing orientation in center pairs
  • Dark cabin tones with warm accent lighting
  • Seat base has a small enclosed footwell with ottomon-style extension
